BREAKFAST AT ELIOT
Radio Sound art, 40 min
Featuring Cat Stevens, The Rolling Stones and many more
This sound piece was made specialy for Lukas Jakob Löcker - aka Eliot -´s invitation to the emission Tape That on Radio FRO.
We developped and hacked tape readers in order to produce particular distortion sounds. It permited us to freely change the motor speed and unable scratching
through unusual, playful interfaces.
The composition is a sound collage made by layering samples within the time constrain. We worked with
24 tape loops (5 to 10 seconds) from a selection of various music genres and 24 home-recorded ones.
The 40 min piece is a mix-tape with emerging contrasted fragments.
